‘Some meat of history’

The Leeds group – people attending the Osmondthorpe and Mariners’ Resource Centres – got a chance in July to take part in some excavation work at the Mariners’ Centre.  The Project’s Film Team, Russell Wall and James Guy, have produced an excellent short film of the activity which very much demonstrates how people can participate in practical archaeology.  Many of the Leeds students are wheelchair users – but they were able to play a full role in the dig.  You can see the film on YouTube at

Leeds tutor Dave Weldrake has also uploaded a report of the work of the group to the Leeds Hub page.
